A FARM CITY CELEBRATION SPONSOR
Howard County
is a melting pot of old and new, rural and urban, and historic and
futuristic. The mission of the Howard County Farm-City Celebration
Council is to promote the mutual benefits farmers and their city
cousin's share. The Council has organized an 8-day celebration to
promote the county's rural heritage and educate urban neighbors
about the bounty and benefits of agriculture in the county today.
A sampling of the activities already scheduled includes:

- The Maryland Agricultural

- Fall Festival at the
Farmers' Markets
- Special Programming
with Department of Recreation and Parks
- Special Activities
at Local Farms
- Special Programs at
all Howard County Libraries
- A Volksmarch
- Job Exchange between
Howard County's Executive and a representative from the Howard County
agricultural community.
- Special Presentations
and Demonstrations by the Howard County Antique Machinery Club,
Inc.
- Howard County Farm
Heritage Days Celebration...And much, much more.
